Clay as Collaborator

Clay as Collaborator invites us to consider clay not just as a material but as an active participant in the creative process. The exhibition centers on clay’s tactile and responsive nature, its ability to guide, resist, and respond in unexpected ways. These qualities reveal how the material can influence artistic choices and open up new directions in making. Rather than positioning the artist as the sole creator, this project embraces clay as a co-creator, emphasizing a process-led approach to creativity.

Workshops and live sessions extend this conversation into shared spaces of making, where collaboration between people, materials, and ideas becomes central. These interactions highlight ceramics as a socially engaged practice with the potential to imagine more connected, adaptive, and resilient futures. In this space, clay becomes more than a medium; it becomes a collaborator.
